On April 1st, LPG cylinder prices were updated. Check local petrol costs for cooking.
The government has updated the tariffs for LPG petrol cylinders as of today, the first day of the fiscal year 2024. The cost of cooking gas was reduced by around 92 on April 1. The rate cut, though, only applies to consumers of commercial petrol cylinders. Customers of household LPG petrol have not seen a price adjustment. 14.2 kg petrol cylinder prices are unchanged from last month. The Center increased the cost of home cooking gas by 50 last month.
Interestingly, the government increased the cost of the commercial petrol cylinder by 350 rupees in March, and on Saturday, the price decreased by 92 rupees.

In contrast to home LPG cylinders, the cost of commercial gas is always changing. A 19-kilogramme commercial petrol cylinder cost 2,253 in Delhi as of April 1, 2022.
And as of right now, the costs have dropped to Rs 2,028. Only in Delhi have the prices for commercial petrol cylinders decreased by 225 in the last year.
Separately, the government declared that recipients of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) programme will receive a discount on home LPG petrol cylinders.
Anurag Thakur, the Minister of Information and Broadcasting, stated last month that each 14.2 kg LPG petrol cylinder will receive a subsidy of 200 rupees annually for the 9.59 crore Ujjwala Yojana recipients. The Centre has set a 12-time annual limit for refills.
