USPs of “Crumble Cookies”
In every Crumbl store, employees mix, bake and make the cookies from scratch in a public kitchen. The cookies are then packaged in Crumbl’s iconic pink box before being carried home to be enjoyed. According to Sawyer Hemsley, COO of Crumbl, “having our guests watch every cookie being produced is one of the best experiences of our stores.” To guarantee that clients receive the best cookies possible, each ingredient is hand-selected.
Idea behind Crumbl Cookies?
A grandiose dream, two wild cousins, and the perfect combination of flour, sugar, and chocolate chips were the beginnings of everything. Crumbl was founded by Sawyer Hemsley and Jason McGowan (CEO) (COO). Together, they entered the world of baking headfirst. The two cousins decided to share their “perfect cookie quest” with the public after spending thousands of dollars on dough that was squandered, resulting in recipes and cookies that are still embarrassing to this day. The world’s best chocolate chip cookie, which continues to be a step in the Crumbl process, was created after they collected feedback and tried various recipes.
Journey of Crumbl Cookies
After mastering the recipe, the pair and their family launched the first Crumbl store in Logan, Utah, in 2017, while Sawyer was a student at Utah State University. Since the outset, Crumbl clients have had access to a live feed of the mixing, rolling, baking, and dressing of their cookies. Each batch’s premium ingredients played an equal role in the process. To first, Crumbl solely provided freshly baked milk chocolate chip cookies for delivery and pickup. However, as time went on, new services were offered, including curbside pickup, catering, nationwide shipping, and more.
As the business progressed, Crumbl’s flavor choices grew as well. The renowned milk chocolate chip cookie from Crumbl has long been offered, and the iced pink sugar cookie immediately established itself as a menu staple. Next, Crumbl unveiled its rotating menu idea. Its most distinctive feature is the signature pink package. Over the course of a year, the frequency and timing of Crumbl’s rotating menu evolved. In December 2018, the menu’s iconic weekly cycle of four flavours was finalised. Since then, fresh flavours have been added frequently, frequently every week, and the current formulas have been refined.
Crumbl Cookies” Geographical Expansion
Since its launch three years ago, Crumbl has expanded to over 300 bakeries in 36 states, making it the nation’s fastest-growing cookie brand. No matter how big the brand gets, Crumbl, a family-owned company, is proud to support the livelihoods of the thousands of local franchise partners, managers, and bakers. With each new bakery, Crumbl will put even more effort into achieving its goal of uniting friends and family over the world’s best box of cookies.
The Future Ahead
By 2050, the entire supply chain—from raw materials to consumers—will be composed of quantum computer AIs collaborating with one another to optimise the procedure. By then, the use of human labour will be mostly outdated. If workers are no longer needed, factories will need less space and less infrastructural investment. But as business owners, we firmly believe that human labour will never be fully replaced by machines.
Future Plans of Crumbl Cookies and its Target
The business now concentrates on producing distinctive and delectable cookies that are inspired by well-liked flavours, dishes, and desserts of all types, including pies, cakes, candies, and more. Everybody is welcome at Crumbl for Taste Weekly. In the upcoming few years, Crumbl intends to open 100 more stores across the nation as part of its rapid expansion.

Role of Technology in the Business Expansion
The brand’s social media strategy complements its investment in digital e-commerce. A mobile app by Crumbl was released in 2018. In the past year, the company upgraded its app 25 times. In June 2020, curbside pickup and ice cream delivery will be available, and in September 2020, a loyalty programme that awards mega-fans with points for their purchases will launch. In November 2020, right before the holidays, the company introduced Crumbl Catering, a wider selection of cookie options in quantity for post-pandemic gatherings, as well as digital gift cards. Consumer demand in delivery is still robust despite restaurant re-openings, therefore this year the brand included a delivery tracker.
